This Privacy Policy explains what information Trade-N-Post LLC ("Trade-N-Post," "we," "us") collects when you use the Trade-N-Post service, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have — including rights specific to California residents. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

• • Location data: your saved profile location and the pickup/drop-off points you set for a trade, used to match you with nearby trades and enforce our distance limits
• • Trade content: item descriptions, quantities, notes, and prices you enter when creating or claiming a trading post
• • Payment info: handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers. We receive limited transaction data (amount, status, payout details) from Stripe
• • Dispute evidence: photos, videos, or descriptions you submit if you file or respond to a dispute
• • Usage data: basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically for security and to keep the service running

3. How We Use Information

• • To operate the marketplace: matching requesters and traders, processing payments, and enabling trade communication
• • To enforce distance and location requirements for trades
• • To resolve disputes and investigate fraud or abuse
• • To send trade-related notifications (status updates, payout confirmations, dispute updates)
• • To maintain the security and integrity of the service

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share information only as needed to operate the service:

• • Stripe — payment processing and trader payouts
• • Our infrastructure providers (database, hosting, and email/SMS delivery) — to run and secure the service
• • The other party to a trade — your display name, trade details, and pickup/drop-off location necessary to complete that specific trade
• • Law enforcement or legal process — only when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

5. Data Retention

We retain account and trade data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

6. Your Privacy Rights (California Residents)

As a California business, we extend the following rights to all users, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):

• • Right to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., records needed for completed payments)
• • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
• • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — not applicable, since we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising

7. Location Data

Location data is central to how Trade-N-Post works: it's used to show you nearby trading posts, enforce distance limits, and share pickup/drop-off points with your trade partner. We do not share your saved profile location with other users beyond what a specific trade requires, and we do not sell location data.

8. Payment Data

All payment card information is collected and processed directly by Stripe on their own secure checkout pages — Trade-N-Post never receives or stores your full card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Trade-N-Post is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Trade-N-Post after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
